I’m Natalie. I also respond well to Nat and “lunch?”

Your word woes: Solved. Yay!

My job is to help sift through the knowledge in your noggin.

Then weave it into a memorable message and a strategic user journey on your website.

Without sacrificing your voice.

You should feel like an awesome possum when you think about people visiting your website.

Spoiler alert: you already are an awesome possum, obviously.

But your website copy should match.

You should:

  • Feel confident that the words on your website reflect your brand’s strengths, story, and voice.

  • Trust that you’re speaking to the people you really want to speak to.

  • Know you’re presenting the right info at the right time with the right tone. So you can smoothly guide your people to take the next step in working with you.

I help ya get there.

“Natalie exceeded our expectations. She didn't just word things so they were more appealing. She did research into our industry and it shows. The copy comes across as knowledgeable while still being approachable. We feel she nailed our tone and helped us put the ‘why’ into our website copy without giving us a super serious tone that we didn't want.

Basically, she got our messaging down in a way that really represents what we envision for Align and we love everything about it!”

So, how did I get here?

Words by Natalie Branding- Megan Maundrell Photography (13 of 23).jpg

I blended my love of writing with strategic marketing.

I've been nose-deep in copywriting, marketing, journalism, and PR since 2016.

While I’ve done time in the traditional office environment, I’ve worked remotely for the vast majority of my career.

Sometimes from places like Costa Rica, Thailand, Argentina, and Spain. Most times, from my apartment in British Columbia.

While a pandemic lay-off pushed me off the ledge to start my business, that idea was brewing long before.

I started it so I could build on my strengths, question norms, and create something that allows me to lean into life.

I’m sure the same is true for you.

I’ve always been “the one who writes”

But I once believed leaving my journalism dreams for the marketing world meant selling my soul to “The Man.”

Thankfully, I saw the light. Marketing didn’t have to be selling out. It could be selling in.

Wait, what?

I mean, it could be my way of helping entrepreneurs like you make a real mark.

Whether you’re leading industry-wide shifts or simply adding some ease and joy into your clients’ lives….

If I can support that at all through the power of words, sign me the heck up.

What else you wanna know?

  • My (paid) writing career began in journalism, where I cut my teeth researching and writing my heart out as an editor at my university’s newspaper. From there, I moved to public relations, where results-driven content was the name of the game. From breaking through reporters’ jam-packed inboxes to helping clients write their launch copy and promotional guest posts, the power of words continued to see me through. Schmoozing media over dinner was also fun, but, TBH, my inner introvert got tired of it real quick.

  • I have not yet met a food I won’t try (famous last words?). Beyond writing, nothing gets me more amped up than plotting a meal, scoping out a city’s hot spot, or cookin’ up a storm at home. I’m one of those annoying people who plans travel itineraries around where I want to eat.

I love learning the culture and history behind dishes. And Anthony Bourdain and Samin Nosrat are basically my gods, duh.

  • Hiking, long walks on the beach, strength training, yoga

    Satisfying my wanderlust

    Overthinking

Being a craft beer and coffee snob

Knowing a weird amount about Bruce Springsteen

Streaming Spotify about 16 hours a day

  • I focus on website copy for service providers and coaches. Most of my clients are in health/wellness, marketing, or creative fields. That said, I absolutely love diving into new industries!

Maybe it’s a sign. ;)
